[[BooK rEvIeW]] Told ya i'm reading books. Actually, i'm addicted to them. I'm reading malay book for now, cause Malay O is coming.. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Book Title: Asamara Yang Pertama Author: Nass Alina Noah Main Characters; -Lutfi Hakimi/Farriss -Ratna -Mayang/Matielda Summary... Let's just minimized the story line ok? Well, Lutfi Hakimi is the husband of Matielda but Farriss is the husband of Ratna. Ratna and Matielda are sisters. The complicated part is, Hakimi and Farriss are both the same person. Ratna got married with Farriss on the day before hari raya, before that both of them were like enemies, they hated each other. Both of them worked at the same place but none of them know that they are getting married with each other. It was an arranged marriage. Until, Farriss got to know from his younger sister. Ratna was reluctant to get married with Farriss cause of her hatred towards him, but she did after her mother, Tengku Azira, insisted. Both of them wasn't happy, both was forced by thier own parents. Thier first night together wasn't great at all. A lot of incidents happened, and that made them realized that they are meant for each other. But, unfortunately, the next day, Farriss got hit by a van and caused him major injuries. It was a difficult moment for Ratna. Just when she had fallen in love with Farriss, God had took him away from her. Since then, it had been a miserable road for her, with Farris child with her. Years passed, and Mayang now lived with Lutfi Hakimi at KL, where he works, together with two children. Both of them loved each other but as months passed by, Hakimi noticed that Mayang had changed and he became confused when Mayang accidentally called him, Farriss. Hakimi tried to find out who was Farriss but Mayang didn't want to tell. Let it be a secret. Since then, thier marriage wasn't at ease, wasn't happy like before... Ratna still could not believed that Farriss had died, even after so many years. Then, one day, she saw a man, just like Farriss and she was sure that it was him. She was so sure that Farriss is still alive. She told everyone but nobody believed, she ended up in the mental hospital again. She was determind that she was right, but still nobody believed. Ratna then, asked her mother-in-law, Tengku Bainun. Tengku Bainun, didn't want to tell her as she felt that Ratna was the one who had broke the family hearts. She is a JINX in the eyes of her mother-in-law. Ratna was once again heartbroken. She wanted to know so badly that, she cut her wrist. Tengku Bainun was shocked. Ratna was bleeding so badly, she was rushed to the hospital. After a few weeks, then Ratna was given the address of Hakimi, to prove to her that, Hakimi isn't Farriss. There, she met her long lost sister, Mayang. Ratna tried to make Hakimi remember her, as her wife, but Hakimi only answered," I'm Lutfi Hakimi, not Farriss and my only waife is Mayang, not Ratna. I'm so sorry." Then, he left leaving Ratna and Mayang alone. Ratna finally understand that, Mayang was Matielda, the lady who Farriss loved once. The name which had caused her so much jealousy, whithout her knowing. Ratna had guessed it right that Hakimi is Farriss but Mayang just couldn't let Ratna have him, even though Ratna is still his officially married wife. After the visit from Ratna, Hakimi changed. He wanted everyone to call him Farriss, and call his wife Matielda not Mayang. Like they used to when they were in London. Mayang was shocked. She became jealous, scared, worried and frightened that she might lose her husband again to Ratna. Matielda cracked for ideas how to make Ratna disappear from her husband mind. All kinds of ideas came into her mind, and she was satisfied. Whereas in Hakimi's mind. "I can never figure out who am i, never...who is this Farriss?" he asked himself. After the accident with the van, he was brought to London for treatment by his family and they never told Ratna. He has Amnesia. The first word he uttered from his coma was, Matielda. That was why, he never remembered Ratna. Maybe because the relationship was too short. Even though he was married with Matielda, his marriage was never accepted by his parents. He is trying to remember who he is, so that he could finally find out whos is Ratna to him and the child who look like him. For now, he only remembers Farriss, his real name. Ratna tried to make Farriss remember her, but failed even after the short kidnapped. During the kidnapped, she found out Mayang has Cancer, Leukemia. Ratna was speechless. The next day, Ratna made an appointment, with Mayang's doctor. To donate her bone marrow, but her identity must be kept a secret. The operation went smoothly and Mayang was good as new, but that will not be forever. Farriss is getting further away from Mayang, and Mayang felt that it was all Ratna's fault. She carried with her plan. Mayang called Ratna to meet her. Ratna was overjoyed. They went to a quiet place and Ratna coud feel that there was something wrong. Mayang wanted Ratna to forget Farriss and carry on with her life, as Farriss is happily married with her. Ratna loved her sister too much that she could do anything for her, anything. So, she promised that she will forget Farriss and divorced him. But, Mayang wasn't convinced. The only way is to get rid of Ratna's beautiful face, so that Farriss will never remember her. Ratna did as she was told. Mayang told her to cut her cheeks, particularly, her face. And, Ratna fainted. Ratna finally woke up and found herself at the mental hospital again. She was confused, as she knew has recover from her sickness. All her mother, Tengku Azira, could say was, "Mayang brought you here. Syaing that you tried to kill yourself. You're not well." Ratna was really angry, she was never sick. She told her mum but something stopped her, the promise that she made to her sister, stopped her. Her face was full of cuts and scars from the trap that she fell into. But, she thought to herself, "As long as, Mayang is happy and Farriss think of me anymore." As months passed, Farriss still could not forget Ratna, the name which had been playing in his mind for a few months. Still he can't figure out what is it with the name Ratna, which meant something so close to him,yet so far from him. "Argh!!! No matter what, i must find out who am i, who is my wife and sho is Ratna!!!" shouted Farriss on the way back home. He had been muttering Ratna's name since he got back from work and Mayang's eyes had never stop looking at them. That made her hatred towards Ratna keep burning. "This time, you're gonna get it Ratna!!! Nobody can take Farriss away form me again!!!" screamed Mayang inside her heart. The most important person in Ratna's life is her daughter, Mimi. Mayang plan is to hit Mimi. So that, Farriss will not keep remembering Mimi. During that period, Ratna was in a hurry to go to work. Mimi was with her maid, Mak Piah. Mimi had a bad knock against her head while Mak Piah was died. Mimi was in a coma. That made Ratna so angry that she is going to settle it with Mayang once and for all. They met at the same place, where they both met. There, Mayang tried ways to kill Ratna. Ratna had all her ways of getting out every secret and running away from Mayang. When Ratna accidentally knocked against a rock and hit her stomach, she fainted. To make it worse, Mayang used it to knocked on Ratna's head twice. Then, she pulled her to a place and burnt her bodu but Mayang did not know, Ratna managed to escape by rolling away from the place. This time Ratna told herself, "I've been tricked twice and i'm not going to get trick again!!!" There was no sense of sisterhood between Mayang and Ratna anymore. The accident of "burning Ratna" was still playing on her mind and Mayang is scared, it has already been 1 week. While Mayang stood up to take her medicine, she found Ratna holding a pistol, aiming towards her. Mayang used every way to remind herself that Ratna is dead but still, Ratna was there. She thought was dead, but no. Ratna spoke to her sister, Mayang, no more soft spoken and respect, "I'm not letting you off easily Mayang!! After what you had done to our family? Never!!! You are nothing but an animal wearing a human mask!!!" All Mayang could say was, she is sick. Thenm Mayang threw out black blood out of her mouth and Ratna's anger and hatred towards Mayang was gone. Ratna returned from Mekah after 6 months of the accident with Mayang. She was at piece of mind. Her face looked so pure, like she never made a mistake before. She visited her parents-in-law and hand them her divorced documents so that it would be passed to Farriss. Ratna had never stop loving Farriss. Farriss was teh love of her life, how could she have forgotten him just like that. The one who changed her completely. She visited Mayang who was sick and pregnant. She was so happy for her sister, Mayang was shocked to see Ratna to be so forgiving. Ratna ahd stop hating Mayang intsead she was forgiving her for all the sins that Mayang had done towards her. Ratna fulfilled Mayang's last wish; to see Farriss who had been missing for a long time. Ratna found him in the Zoo, where they used to quarrel and accidentally meet. The place which has a lot of memory towards Ratna. Farriss finally realised that Ratna was the one for him but Ratna had long forgotten Farriss as her husband, as he belong to Mayang, her sister. Ratna pleaded Farriss to see Mayang for maybe the last time and let her go. Farriss did as what Ratna wanted and Ratna had never felt better and relieved. She felt that her problems had slowly float away, then she left the place. Farriss met his parent and parents-in-law in the hospital and ran to see Mayang. Mayang whispered to him, "I've lost, you belong to Ratna now. Go..." Farriss waited for the operation to be over. When the doctor came out, a phone call from the house. All Tengku Azira, Ratna's mother could say was, "My daughter!!!!" The one who really died was Ratna. Ratna died because of the blood clot in her brain. Nobody knew, as she never told anyone about that. Farriss was saddened by the news but Mayang was saved. The loss of Ratna really was really saddened, by everyone. Ratna was the one who brought peace to the homes of Tengku Azira, her mother and Tengku Bainun, her mother-in-law. Farriss never forgot her, he came every single year of Aidilifitri. She was never forgotten by anyone. Farriss believed that, Ratna had finally found her peace after all the suffering she had faced. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I know it's long, don't blame me. The book is like, 565 pages. Not everything is there. I really recommend this book to the malays. It will touched your hearts, like it had touched mine.
